What do I need to know in order to send a message with TXTRobot?

You need to know the recipient’s phone number and area code. You should also know the name of the service they use for their cell phone. However, if you do not know their service provider you can select Auto-Detect from the top of the list.

How do I send a message with TXTRobot?

Sending a message using our service is fairly straight-forward. If you are having trouble follow these easy steps:

  1. Enter the phone number of the person you are trying to send a message to. The format should be 1112223333. 111 should be their area code. DO NOT include dashes or parenthesis. Only numbers.
  2. Enter the subject of your message. It is best to say who you are, as the recipient will not have any other way of knowing who the message is coming from other than what you enter.
  3. Select the recipients provider. We are currently capable of sending messages to over 75 different cell phone carriers in North America. If you do not know your recipient’s service provider, select Auto-Detect from the top of the list and our service will determine it for you.
  4. Enter your message. Maximum of 130 characters.
  5. Enter the exact code you see on your left in the box on the right. This is to protect against programs or “bots” that could abuse the TXTRobot service.
  6. Click send! If you filled out the form correctly you should be redirected to a thankyou page telling you that your message has been sent.

 

Is TXTRobot free?

Yes, currently our outgoing SMS sending services are free of charge. However, the recipient of your messages still may incur charges from their service provider depending on the plan they have.

Do you keep my information?

We legally have to log all messages sent for security and potential abuse purposes. According to our <a href=”privacy.php”>privacy policy</a> we will never release any phone numbers or the contents of your messages unless specifically directed by a government agency.  This is standard operating procedure for any similar web based SMS service.

Do you provide support to send messages internationally?

Not yet. We’re working on that right now.

Do you have any additional features planned?

We have a whole slew of features for registered members and low-cost affordable yearly account subscriptions planned for rollout sometime within the next year.

How much will this proposed subscription plan cost?

We have not decided on a price yet. We do know however that it will be very, very reasonable.

What type of software does TXTRobot use?

We use a third party software application. We are coordinating terms with this provider currently and will display the name of the software when an affiliate agreement is reached.

How is this service free?

We earn income entirely from ad revenue displayed on the TXTRobot site. We have both CPA(cost per action) and CPC(cost per click) advertisements.
